Dr. Bryan Lynd is a licensed Physical Therapist in New York State who graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). While completing his degree he gained experience in a variety of diverse settings ranging from outpatient orthopedics to a traumatic brain injury (TBI) unit of an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Prior to attending physical therapy school he received his Bachelor of Arts (BA-Hon.) in Kinesiology from Western University in London, Ontario, Canada—where he was the athletic trainer with the varsity Men’s Ice Hockey team for one year. While completing his undergraduate degree Dr. Bryan Lynd was a member of the Canadian Army Reserve as a Combat Engineer and served for 3 years.
Dr. Bryan Lynd’s personal interest in the profession of physical therapy began while he was rehabilitating an injury of his own that he sustained while playing high school hockey. He continues to draw from his past success stories with physical therapy to influence his treatment philosophy to benefit weekend warriors to competitive athletes alike—with special interest in golfers and hockey players. Dr. Lynd is the director of the Golf Fitness program at Symmetry and has completed advanced coursework through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and MovNat physical education system. Overall, Dr. Bryan Lynd utilizes a holistic approach which includes manual therapy, functional movements, and therapeutic exercise. His personal interests include an obsession for live music, reading about neuroscience, doing yoga, and playing hockey or golf depending on the season.
