ERGONOMIC ASSESSMENT
It is clear that ergonomic factors in the workplace account for many of the injuries sustained by patients on a daily basis. In 2002, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) counted 593,000 musculoskeletal injuries in American workplaces, accounting for more that one out of three of the injuries and illnesses involving recuperation time away from work. A large number of patients diagnosed with orthopedic conditions have ergonomic factors that play a major role in their outcome.
Symmetry Physical Therapy provides industrial and office ergonomics evaluations, training materials, assistance with ergonomics safety issues, program development, computer ergonomics evaluations, repetitive motion analysis, human factors analysis and design, workstation and equipment design, litigation support, and cost control instruction to employers. We have the experience to get to the heart of the matter with greater efficiency and for a lower cost.
By utilizing our services, clients receive the services of experienced, board certified ergonomists with the biomechanical knowledge of the body through our extensive work in the physical therapy field. We have experience working with individuals in the home or office setting as well as large corporations developing new health and safety initiatives across the entire organization. No job is too small or too large for us to handle.
